Parsippany, NJ – November 29, 2006 – Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc., was honored as the Large Company of the Year, presented at the 10th Anniversary New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) Awards Gala, held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on November 16, 2006.
Leslie J. Browne, President and CEO of Pharmacopeia Drug Discovery, winner of the 2005 Large Company of the Year award, presented the award to William J. Kroll, Chairman and CEO, Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc.
In accepting the award on behalf of the company, Bill Kroll said, “First of all I want to thank my executive staff, some of whom are with me tonight to share in this great honor,” remarked Kroll, “and their spouses who support them so they can help make Matheson Tri-Gas the great company it is.” “I also want to thank NJTC for this great recognition. Matheson Tri-Gas was not always a large company; we started as a small company almost 80 years ago, but we have always been headquartered in New Jersey.” “Today we have almost 1700 employees working around the globe to produce gases that are used in products we all use everyday, from cell phones, to traffic signals to helium for our birthday balloons.”
Other awards presented at the Gala included: Novartis Pharmaceuticals, East Hanover, NJ, Master Technology Company of the Year; inVentive Health, Inc., Somerset, NJ, Public Company of the Year; and Gain Capital, Bedminster, NJ, Private Company of the Year.
